In 2001 an image was conceived by Cameron Hadley (Lead Vocals), to start a band and explore the possibilities what music can bring. Cameron started on drums as a first timer at the age of 34, but his younger son Preston Hadley (Drums) quickly picked up the sticks and started to learn. Mean while Ethan Hadley (Lead Guitar) learned bass guitar and learned very quickly. The band grew and morphed through the next four years. By year four, Ethan was ready to move on to bigger and better obstacles. He decided to tackle Rhythm Guitar and successfully picked right up on it like fire to gasoline. For the next six years the band continually kept this dynamic. In late 2009, early 2010 the band was named “God on Trial” and recruited two members, a Bassist and Guitarist. In late 2010, the two recently added members were resigned. Shortly after the band took a 5 month break and the three original and remaining members started to record recently written music. Midway through the summer the band was renamed to “Skipping Stone”. In July of 2011 Skipping Stone was renamed Skippin Stone, minus the “g”. Also in July Skippin Stone acquired three more members, making Skippin Stone a 6 person group. Those three would be Brittney Smith, Jacob Adams, and Branden Adams. Now Skippin Stone looks forward to a hell raising summer and a ice breaking winter to entertain the greater Evansville and tri-state area.
